Male fertility is an increasing concern for many men.  We thought that it is an

important topic to discuss this month, since Men’s Health is our priority.

Having a child is more than simply a good romp in the hay!

The reality is that you, and your spouse are responsible for bringing a new life into this world. There is a lot of responsibility attached to this, and the first place to start is to ensure that you are in good health before conception.

Too much coffee and alcohol affect the quantity and quality of your sperm, so cut

back drastically on these if you want to become a dad. Forty percent of all fertility problems are related to men, and some of these problems can be alleviated by paying attention to the diet. A good place to start is to address your zinc intake.

Before touching on the benefits of zinc, I would like to highlight that nutrition is extremely important if you want to make a baby. Babies who are born to fathers who drink two alcoholic beverages a day are usually 6.5 ounces lighter than other babies. A low birth weight is dangerous as it has a negative impact on the child’s mental and physical health throughout its life.

While being deficient in zinc will not necessarily cause you to become infertile, it does play an instrumental part in how the reproductive system works. Zinc collaborates with more than 300 enzymes in your body to keep it working optimally. The reproductive system will not work efficiently if you are zinc deficient.

Zinc deficiency also causes the imbalance of progesterone and estrogen levels. It even affects your cells’ ability to divide.

Zinc is the most important trace mineral to

increase male fertility

Males who increase their zinc intake have shown an increase in sperm levels. Furthermore, the quality and function of the sperm improves and this minimizes the chances of infertility in males. It has been found that men who are zinc deficient have immature sperm. This reduces their mobility, and they are unable to reach the egg to fertilize it. It can also lead to miscarriages in women.

In closing, make sure that you take enough zinc and other minerals and vitamins if you want to sire a health baby. Apart from eating foods that are rich in zinc, you should consider taking a quality liquid ionic zinc supplement as soon as you decide to start a family
