Cravings were the bane of my existence
One of the reasons why I have always struggled to lose weight when I tried to *diet, is because I just love cakes, ice-cream and chocolate. My happiness depended upon having even just a little of whatever I craved.
People have tried to motivate me:
But just imagine how good you will feel when you lose weight – it will be WORTH it!
Right. So I can’t have any chocolate for the next 10 years until I have shaken off half of my current body weight? I don’t think so!
I read somewhere else that if you have to have it, you should just have a little t oprolong the torture suppress the craving a bit longer. But if you have not had any for a while, it is hard to control your impulses and portions.
But this post is not about giving you false hope and unattainable solutions.
I am going to tell you exactly why you crave all the goooood bad stuff
Your body craves the GOOD nutrients and it is used to looking for it in all the foods that usually provide it. So if your only source of calcium is a slab of chocolate, that’s what your body will crave.
By giving your body the ingredients that are found in those foods you crave, you will stave off the cravings!
*My definition of diet is found under ‘jail sentence’ in the dictionary. It means not eating anything nice and making yourself sick in the process.
